Mediterranean Kebabs

Kebab is my favorite (or at least the only) Mediterranean food I can think of in instant. It is traditionally lamb meat cut into chunks, marinated and cooked on a skewer. But nowadays, it can be replaced with any meats preferable, such as chicken, pork, beef, goat, and even fish. Capsicums, garlic or onions are usually skewered between the meat to add more color and spices to the dish.
Kebabs are cooked by grilling it, and that makes it a perfect meal for BBQ parties. I can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant ordering mediterranean kebabs, but I made it once or twice with my aunt for a gathering. She's a good cook so our kebabs taste really nice. I really like this food which has been adapted to other countries too and become international. It is also so efficient to make it yourself, simple preparation and cooking, and yet a delicious and perfect dish to serve to your guests. You have to be careful though, to cook kebabs are not as easy as it looks, since you have to cook it for a good amount of time. If not, the meat is gonna be chewy and not so amazing as it should have been. (Andriana)
